Matthew 24:15 –Going Behind the Veil  Part 2

Jesus speaking: Before starting I want you to keep in mind that Daniel truly had no idea what most of his dreams and visions meant; however, the 70-Week prophecy was a little different. It was given him to understand, at least in part.

So let’s start at Daniel 9:23, with a very important dispatch from the King, now this is angel Gabriel speaking…“At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision.”

As I said, it was given to Daniel to “understand the matter” in part…the part I wanted him to understand was concerning those Jews that would be in Israel at the time of My first coming. This should be obvious, because a large part of the 70-Week prophecy was referencing the date of My arrival, and naturally it was vitally important for the Jews to know My arrival date as this would be setting the stage for coming Endtime events and the ultimate demise of Satan’s kingdom. It is important that I stay on topic, but if you can imagine what has been going on behind the scenes; the preparation involved to pull off this final Endtime invasion. World War 2’s “D-day” was nothing compared to the years of planning that has gone into this, not to mention all the actors being prepped for their part in what I like to call “The Greatest Show On Earth”.  

Okay, back to Daniel, now remember, most of the prophecies in Daniel were not written for “thy people” in Daniel’s day, but for “thy people” in the latter days or more commonly known as the Endtime. And “thy people” are not flesh-and-blood Israel, as many would have you believe, but spiritual Israel, the true children of Abraham, by faith in the promise…Me. One last point, whilst reading the following prophecy, watch for the time warp, where Daniel’s matter ended and “our” matter began.      

Daniel 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. 

Jesus speaking: Jerusalem is no more a holy city than a church building is a place where God lives. The statement “thy people and upon thy holy city” is talking about three entities; the children of God, the children of God as a city (as in the city of brotherly love) and New Jerusalem. I realize it is hard to know what it means when it says “thy people” and “thy holy city”, but scripture is not written in the language of men. It is written in spiritual ink; and the only way to understand it is through the whispers of the Holy Ghost. In this verse, “thy people” was in reference to the people that would face the Roman invasion and the holy city is, as I said, talking about the city of brotherly love, of which Daniel was a member.   

Daniel 9:25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem [Jesus: Did you notice it didn’t say holy city] unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

Daniel 9:26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolation’s are determined. [Jesus: I was “cut off” for the sins of the world. And the coming prince destroyed the city and the sanctuary . The dictionary definition of sanctuary is refuge, asylum or shelter, which is what the religious Jews used the temple for when the Roman prince attacked the city. And that is where they all perished along with their temple and false religion, and in the eyes of My Father that was the end of the matter. Now comes the “other part of the matter”, and that is the other “thy people”, those that are yet to come, spiritual Israel, you!, At that point your desolation is yet determined or still to come, which is the point of reference I want to draw your attention to.] 

“The 3rd temple in Jerusalem is no more a holy place than a church building is where I dwell.”
