Prophecy: Most of the people will live on farms in the Millennium. Sometimes a small village with a few houses will appear where two roads intersect. Having a road going in each of the four directions would help the men to get to their fields which would be near the village, and the village would grow with time. A village could also start on both sides of a single road especially if there was a river close by. The village will not only be made up of the people who live in it but also all the farms around it.
As we ponder the future, we must consider the question: What will life be like in the Millennium?
Question: Why will villages be necessary; why not just have farms?
They will be a hub for the surrounding farms as well as a drop off point for the wagons that bring things from far away. The mail would also come with those wagons and usually be left with the village coordinator. A village would also be a place for the craftsman to live. They won’t be able to have a farm as they won’t have the time for it.
The farmers will come to the village for things that they can’t make on the farm. Since one village won’t have all the different types of craftsman, the farmers would have to go to different villages depending on what they need. Some examples of craftsman are, blacksmiths that make things out of iron like horse shoes, hinges for doors, nails, metal pieces for wagons, etc.; carpenters that make furniture; a cobbler that makes shoes and also leather items for horses and a wagon maker.
Although they wouldn’t have a farm, they would have a small garden by their house and at least some chickens. Also some men will go from village to village to offer their services or wares. The pot and pan man would be one of them. He would come to each town on a certain date and everyone would know on what day he would come with his wagon. He would also have other things for the kitchen.
The knife sharpener man would also come to each town on certain days. Usually the sample home of spirit beings would be in a village also. They would help everyone in the area to practice the law of love partly by their sample and partly by helping them get through the difficulties they encounter.
Question: Will there be communal homes?
In the beginning of the Millennium it will be strongly suggested that a few families live together in a communal lifestyle. The benefits will be pointed out and many will try it knowing that it is an important part of living the law of love. Most of those that refuse to live communally will eventually wind up being rebels.
Most of those that try it will find that although it is difficult and requires a lot of sacrifice, it has many benefits, and their children, always having lived like that, will find it easier to live that lifestyle when they are adults. The homes will usually also take on singles, mostly young people. With the passing of time there will also be added aunts and uncles and grandparents and grandchildren so the homes will grow in size and eventually will have to split up into two homes which also would make the village grow in size.
Question: Will there be elections of public figures in the Millennium?
There will be no politics and no politicians in the Millennium. There will be a few people that you could call public figures, but they will be appointed, not elected. However, the people in the village could make suggestions on who they would like to have in those positions. One position would be the village coordinator. He or she could be a spirit being or a person from the village.
Another position is the education coordinator who helps the mothers with the home schooling of the children. Another one is the agricultural organizer. There will also be a Word study coordinator but this spirit being will always be a member of the sample home and will also have shepherding responsibilities.
The education coordinator, for example, could give teaching tips or could find a teen from another home to help out with the home schooling for a mother that really needed help, etc. The agricultural coordinator, for example, would make sure that there was a good balance of vegetables grown by the different farms so that there wouldn’t be too much of one vegetable grown and not enough of another.
The same would apply to animals raised. Not too many horses would be needed so maybe only one farmer would raise horses and the other farmers would go to him if they needed a horse.
Question: Would there be any activities in the village?
On a certain day of the week it would be market day where the farmers could bring extra food items and trade for food items they don’t grow. The same trading would go on for animals, although the bigger animals would be brought on the market day by prearrangement. When the village becomes bigger, they will usually build a town meeting hall. Whenever a house needs to be built, as many men as possible will get together to build it.
So when a town hall is needed, the men would get together to build that also. The village coordinator would call for a town meeting in the town meeting hall and one member of each home in the village and each surrounding farm would go. The other two coordinators might also have things to talk about at the meeting. Also occasionally there will be dances at the town hall.
The dances will mostly be so that the teenage boys and girls can get to know each other; although the adults would have a lot of conversations going on at the same time and they would also dance once in a while. Sometimes everyone that lived in the village would get together in the town meeting hall to pray together if there was a special need; for example, if a woman was having problems during childbirth.
This is to give a general idea of how a village would be; although the villages will not all be exactly the same and some will have things not mentioned here.
