Mystical Bible
We at Mystical Bible are followers of the teachings of David and Maria Berg. We are former members of “The Family International.” Although we no longer have any physical connection to the online organization TFI or follow the path TFI chose at the publishing of their ‘Reboot Documents’ in 2010, we continue to follow the teachings and broadcast the original writings of David and Maria that are archived in The Family International’s enormous digital library (the INFOSTORE).
We believe that David was God’s divinely appointed Endtime prophet, sent to deliver His Words to this last generation (PDF): the generation Jesus referred to in Matthew 24:34—as those who would not pass away until all Scripture had been fulfilled.
The Family International was never officially disbanded; in fact, it retains the name TFI to this day. However, TFI is barely a shadow of its former self, due, we believe, to its leadership’s attempt to “redefine” its purpose and mission by editing, and in some cases completely removing, the original text.
If David was the Endtime prophet and the Words of David are the Words of God, and we sincerely believe both to be true, then removing the Words of the Prophet would be akin to removing Words from the Bible in an attempt to contemporize it. A person may claim to be ordained by God to exercise such authority, but what portals and secret messages and codes may have been lost in the tinkering, no one yet truly knows.
The Bible and MO letters speak plainly. If there’s something in the text that is difficult to understand, it is more likely that it is not meant to be understood at the spiritual plane you presently stand upon. Perhaps it is one of those hard sayings you choose not to understand, or it is something that requires faith and trust on your part, knowing that, in His time, He will most certainly reveal the secret when the heart is ready to receive.
Having turned from the spirit of the original teachings set down by God through His prophet, TFI leadership chose a path that led back into the world of contemporary religion. By cutting a path back down the mountain of God’s will, TFI leadership inadvertently fulfilled a number of prophecies given by the prophet himself during the foundational days of the then Children of God. One of the most revealing prophecies on the subject of rejecting the Words through the mouth of the prophet is found in the MO letter “Builders Beware.”
So do you think they’re going to even try to someday remove my words from the structure?— I wouldn’t be surprised! That’s what they usually do: That’s what destroyed the Christian church, when they started removing the Bible and the words of God!

We are called as God’s prophets for this age, trained in the “School of Prophets” from the very hand of the Endtime prophet himself. We were never called to contemporize in order to become a part of the system we were sent to save. This teaching goes way back, even before the days of Jesus, when He called His own disciples out of the world, warning them not to partake of the system gold that cankers. This teaching, along with many others, is a discipleship pillar that was stricken from the Church’s understanding of what constitutes true discipleship.
The churches have moved out of the arena up into the grandstands! They’ve taken a grand stand for the Devil & his System, so now the Devil & his System accept them, even glorify them, praise them for having joined him & his System! Let me tell you, if you’re accepted by the System there’s something wrong with you! (Is It Worth It? ML#2473)
We’ve got to help this man realize that our first and foremost need is not to be accepted by the System, but it’s to give out God’s message! No matter how radical the message may be, getting it out is our objective. That’s what we’re trying to do most of all!—Not trying to get the System to like us. Do you wonder why the prophet said in that excerpt above that it is not our foremost need to be accepted by the system? It’s very simple: if you are accepted by the system, then you are no longer accepted by God. The system is not a creation of God; it is a creation of the devil, and true followers of Jesus are estranged from all that the system is. True followers are on a pilgrimage away from the system lowlands. And as they journey up the mountain of the Lord, they are required to call into the darkness to other lost pilgrims. They are required to hold the Light of Israel high above their heads that others may see.
Called
There is no leeway in the Bible or the Words of David that gives true disciples allowance to go back and fellowship with the world. The Word of God says, come out of her, be ye separate, touch not the unclean thing, and live by faith. I am not talking about church doctrine here. You will find plenty of loopholes and provisos in church doctrine where rubbing shoulders with the world is considered okay. The church has many different levels of discipleship, but they are not based on the foundational truth set out in the Bible.
And this is one of the primary reasons God sent His Endtime prophet into the world. His job was to uncover the church rubble, clear away their doctrines and traditions so that we could all clearly see the will of God.
Lifestyle or Discipleship
The church teaches people that they can have their heaven now and also in the hereafter—that’s the heart and soul of the church prosperity message. The primary reason people prefer to listen to their pastor over the Bible is because they don’t like what the Bible is saying. The Bible isn’t offering a winding path through the lowlands of this world; the Bible places the reader on a narrow, rugged path that points directly to the foot of the Mountain of God.
The moment a person opens a Bible, he or she is being called—“Hey, this is the way, walk ye in it.” The Bible is not offering a choice. Yes, man has the majesty of free choice, but the Bible is not saying you can freely choose the low road without consequence. The Bible is a voice; it is God calling you to da’at—to an awakening of the purpose of life. It’s not calling you to church, or to TFI, or anywhere else, but to reunion with God. It’s calling the soul back to remembrance of who it is, where it came from, and in what direction it should begin its journey back to the River of Life.
There are not many paths to God, as man claims—it’s a catch-22. Oh yes, there are many paths that lead away from God, but they must eventually circle back to God; escaping the situation is logically impossible.
Man chooses the low road; God does not direct him there. The system teaches that it’s possible, but God’s Word says it is not possible without a very long and sad journey. Man chose the low road many years ago; he’s come in one big circle and is now finally approaching the crossroads he passed thousands of years ago.
We have arrived at the door of a new millennium. Are you ready for what is about to come to pass when the world passes the threshold? Or do you think the system is right and the circle spirals out and out, and man, without God, will eventually find himself?
Can AI find itself simply because it has built-in capabilities that achieve fantastical technological feats? No more can we. Yes, we have the capability to become gods, but not God. Just like a computer needs a motherboard, we must follow a set of guidelines and rules set down by our Father-board in order for that magical spark to bring us to life.
The Mistake of Every Religious Organization
People get the wrong idea about our purpose for being here on earth. Their minds are awash in system ways and means; they have it all backwards. Instead of using God’s Word as the filter for all that floods into their minds each day, they use their own system-designed filters to discern what is good and right. And we all know how the system is wired, and who wired it.
The whole system is one big “catch-22.” I believe Solomon got it right when he said, “There is nothing new under the sun.”
Why would TFI revert to the system church for its inspiration and direction, knowing full well that the system church gets its inspiration from the system? Because they got their eyes off the Words of the prophet, that’s why. The Endtime prophet warned his leadership of this very eventuality way back in 1974 when he said:
The same is true in the case of religious organizations and movements, religions, so-called: Once the Prophet has been removed & is far away either in time or space, those left behind in charge often, if not usually, soon seem to go astray & try to revamp the building so carefully put together by the Prophet with the Words of God.
Nearly every religious system that I can think of eventually drifted so far from the original teachings of its founder & his foundation, that the religion & its founder no longer even resembled each other, its people no longer resembled their original leadership, & the religion no longer resembled his original teachings!
Each has become such a totally changed structure that sometimes it no longer even looks like the original building! Each is eventually so weakened by the removal of its founder’s words, its last hope & ballast for retaining its balance, that it collapses around the ears of its alterers!—It dies of alterations!
It’s a funny thing that we use this expression, “the whole house came tumbling down around their ears!” —Because it is when your ears stop listening to the Lord that your house collapses on top of you! (Builders Beware (PDF) [1974] ML#309)
Within that prophecy lies the cause of the collapse of not only man’s religious system but of every single system he’s created since the beginning of time—they stopped following the Words of God through His mouthpiece, the Prophet.
The Great Reboot Fire
The Reboot, like the many, many revolutions that came before it, need not have been the blunting of the Sword of Jesus. Instead, as was intended, it would have been the honing of the razor’s edge in preparation for the final battle with the forces of Satan.
The battle strategy that Jesus was about to enact was far greater than any scheme TFI leadership could ever contrive. There was but one step needed for the blade to be ready for war—it had to be once more tempered by fire. As is the way of God, His children were given prior warning of what was to come.
The following prophecy excerpt, taken from the Peter letter ‘Deliverance,’ outlined the destruction of just one subdivision of the enormous forest that was The Family. Through it, Jesus was sending a message-by-example to His worldwide Family of what would happen if they continued to stray from the path set by God through the mouth of His prophet.
The subdivision fire straddled the Charter firewall as well as the multitudinous safety nets designed by leadership to head off a predictable disaster. By reading the prophecy, one would think the fire was an out-of-control bush fire. It was, in fact, a controlled burn, lit by man, but well under the guiding hand of the Master Fire Chief.
Where the “Love Charter” failed and the checklists fell short, the “Great Fire” revealed. What is the purpose of a love charter if people aren’t serving out of love? What is the purpose of rules, regulations, and checklists if the heart of the people isn’t in it? If this great universal experiment is to succeed, obedience must come from the heart, not the law laid down in stone.
It was Jesus’ two-pronged master plan that revealed the bottom-line truth of where our service was coming from, and at the same time prepared His sword for its final blow on the hairy scalp of Satan and his kingdom. The purpose of the great fire, as is the purpose of most forest fires, was to burn away the under-brush, thorns, thistles, leaves, and dead and dying branches in order to make way for the new. What began as a local forest fire turned into a raging inferno that literally incinerated the old Family.
Jesus speaking: Where there is life, there is always hope. I know you look around you and you see no life—only death and the burning embers and ashes of what once was. How can life spring forth from so great a destruction, so great a burning, so great a sin? But this is where you must hope, for even in this great burning I extend to you the hand of hope.
All you can feel right now is the stinging and the burning in your eyes from the smoke and stench of your sins. It is a very great burning and great clearing away of your sins and disobedience’s‚ but even from these ashes will come not just new growth and renewal, but great victory.
There will arise a beauty from even these ashes of defeat. You’ll be tempted to feel that no growth can come from these ashes, that just from the sheer weight and depth of the ashes alone no life could possibly spring forth, that there is no hope of resurrection from so great a sin and burning. But I promise you that even from these ashes will come victory, and even this burning is for a greater purpose.
A once great and vast forest has been burned to the ground. Great‚ majestic tall trees, which have long stood in strength and magnificence, have been reduced to ashes and charred remains. But even when a great and aged forest is ravaged by fire, there is always regrowth, and new life will always spring forth—albeit slow at first.
So will this burning and regrowth be with the great forest of the previous _____ work. It will be reduced to ashes, and the devastation will seem overwhelming at first, as all you can see is destruction and the smoke of her burning rising high into the air for all to see. But it is only from the death of the old that the new can spring forth.
It must be a complete death, a complete burning for My perfect purpose to be established and fulfilled. For I can allow only new life to spring forth—young and alive saplings who are little in their own sight, those who hungrily desire the light and reach forth toward it constantly, that they may grow the right way in true strength of spirit, always facing the light and focusing on the light. What survived the terrible firestorm? The one and single most important seed: a return to the basics. Not a redefining or redefinition of purpose. Why, our purpose had already been set from the very beginning. We were called and chosen as God’s Endtime iconoclast, the last church, God’s last voice to a dying world groping for the wrong light, the fake light of the usurper king.
Jesus wasn’t calling for a new TFI, yet another church. Jesus, through the mouth of His Endtime prophet, had already told David how He wanted His ‘little Davids’ to proceed.”
It just thrills us to see how it’s God who is doing all this!—No one in particular, no personality cult, no individual who has to be there, but the Lord and by the power of His Holy Spirit! So it’s thrilling to us how the Lord is working and that God has started this, God is keeping it going, and He is going to conclude it in His time.
He who hath begun a good work in us is going to perfect it unto the end! For He is the Author and the Finisher of our faith, who hath delivered, who doth deliver, and who will yet deliver! Praise the Lord! Amen. (For God’s Sake Follow God ML#4)
The Rising of the Saplings (PDF)
It is impossible to capsulize the Words of David within one book. But if you were able to, and if you were to give that book a name, I believe it would be called the Seven Thunders. Dreams, prophecies, visions and spirit trips to heaven, hell, and in-between, the lives of the good and bad, the deepest of spiritual teachings, and practical application for those called-out ones of Revelation 12—all this and much more has been transcribed and archived by scribes who didn’t just talk about living God’s Word, but truly lived it.
It is no wonder the enemy’s number one goal was to destroy God’s Endtime Church, called by Jesus Himself in prophecy the Church of Brotherly Love. This church of believers held in their hands the Key of David, the Key that would unlock the final door and usher in the end of man’s rule on earth.
“It is time for the last witness, and we, and there are others out there, have been called to deliver the Words of God to this last generation. Our weapon is prophecy, which Jesus calls New Wine. We are not our own; we belong to Jesus, and we love Him intimately; we are His bride. We hold the Keys of the Kingdom (PDF) in our hands; we are called Key bearers, and our Keys have the power to destroy all the works of the wicked one with fire. We commune with angels and departed saints (PDF); these ones are our guides from across the spiritual veil, and they direct our thoughts and actions on this side of the veil. We are candles created to burn out on the altar of sacrifice.”
We are Nazarenes in this last and final hour, and we are calling you to come and join, not us, but the Spirit of the living God. We do not follow a church, group, or organization; we follow the One who loves us more than His own life, the One who asks us to lay down our lives that others may find Him and His love. And He has a message for you who hear His call in your heart
Since re-establishing our relationship post-Reboot, I’ve been telling you that I need to find faith on the Earth at My return. I want to take this time to explain a little more carefully what I’m actually asking of you. The reason I asked that question—‘Will I find faith on the Earth at My return?’—is because it is almost impossible to find anyone on Earth today who is living My commandments: to come out of the world in spirit; to truly be those strangers and pilgrims with no roots in the world at all; to not lay up treasures for a rainy day or old age; to be those witnessing prayer warriors of the spirit; to be willing to live in the wilderness, with nothing to hold on to but your faith in My Word; to trust Me for your daily bread, your security, and your health.
All these requirements I just listed—and there are more—are scriptural and can all be found in the Words of David. Yet to find someone, or someone’s, living them—or willing to live them—is what caused Me to say what I said in Luke 18:7–8. I looked ahead around the corner and witnessed all that was to transpire in these last days, and as I saw, I said: “Will I find faith on the Earth at My return?”
Those requirements have been in My Word for thousands of years. I’ve asked every generation since My departure to live My commandments. History has passed over all those generations; they had their chance to live My Word. Now it is your time.
I’m asking you to put no conditions on My Word—to be those whom I find faithful. (May 23, 2026 Committed to the Word)

The mountain is windy & cold but thrilling. You really have to have the feeling that it’s really worth dying for!–Any mountain–the mountain of this life, the mountain of accomplishment, the mountain of obstacles, of difficulty–if you’re going to climb them, they have to be worth dying for, to brave wind & cold & storm, symbolic of adversities.
Only pioneers climb mountains—people who want to do something that no one ever did before—people who want to get above the multitude—beyond what has already been done & accomplished. Pioneers must have Vision—vision to see what no one else can see; Faith—faith to believe things no one else believes; Initiative—initiative to be the first one to try it; Courage—the guts to see it through!
But on the mountain you are the first to see the sun rise & the last to see it set! You see the full circle of God’s glorious creation! You see the world in its proper perspective with range after range to be conquered & a world beyond the horizon of normal men! A world beyond their vision & their horizon!
You see distant peaks yet to be climbed! You see distant valleys yet to be crossed. You see things that the men in the valleys can never see.—Can’t even comprehend because they can’t see it! And you can see the 360 degree circumference of the total horizon—the entire scope! It’s like seeing all of life from its beginning to its end & understanding.
