An Overview of Daniel . Chapters 7 , 8 & some of chapter 11 .
It’s wise to be simple. But it isn’t easy to be simple when trying to decipher Bible prophecy. I’ll try though. I’m doing this class on Daniel with the hope of making some things clearer in our hearts and minds. A lot of prophecy teachers have certain pet teachings, and even though they may be right in their assumptions, their conclusions may still be wrong.
So I’m going to go over some things from Daniel’s book, and I hope that I hit on some good points. I’ll try to not put too much in on things I sometimes harp on.
I want to briefly cover some highlights. I’m assuming you are already familiar with Daniel and the book of Revelations… So with the image of gold in Daniel 3, we know that Nebuchadnezzar demanded worship of his image. Perhaps it’s because of the dream he had in Daniel 2 of being the head of gold. And then if we go to Revelation, in Revelations 13:14 the false prophet tells the earth that they should (also) make an image to the beast –same tendency but different time period.
The image of Daniel 2 represents the same 4 beasts spoken of in Daniel 7. The 1st beast, Babylon, being a beast like as a lion, is the head of the image. Then again in Revelations 13:1 & 2, the beast that rose up out of the sea that illustrates the Endtime beast that rules the world, all the 7 heads are represented the same, as a lion (with the mouth of a lion) Except for the horns. Babylon is not only represented as the lion and the head of gold (Dan 2). It is also represented as the “Great Whore .” Maybe it’s the greater reason for all 7 heads being represented as a lion; representing Babylon. Just a thought. Daniel 2:37, 38 & 7:4.
Then in Daniel 7:5, we have the bear, and instead of having arms, like the arms and breasts of silver from Daniel 2’s image, they are the feet, as of a bear. That is also shown in Revelations 13:1,2 (And the beast which I saw as like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear..) And the 3rd beast from Daniel 7:6 is the leopard representing Greece . Hmm. Three beasts in one . (really four or seven ) Sort of like beast-mode, to the third power, huh ? 666, right ? Triple the evil. Doesn’t matter. They’re all still doomed. Nonetheless, the world makes an image of this beast, that also represents a man god; or man as god? The first 3 beasts of Daniel 7 are re-represented in Revelations 13 in this way for some reason. Without the wings, of course .
In Daniel 11 we also see the bear, Medo-Persia; the leopard, Greece; and then Rome; just not as beasts. The 7 heads (Rev.13) of course are the 7 empires from Egypt to Rome. Rome ? –stumble and fall, and not be found ? Daniel 11:19 “Then shall he turn his face toward the fort of his own land; but he shall stumble and fall, and not be found.” Is this Rome, the fourth beast? The next verse says … “stand up in his estate”. That sounds like a continuation to me. If I’m right, Daniel 11 takes us from after Babylon is taken over, starting with Medo-Persia, and then to Greece. Rome is who takes over after them. So when did Rome actually appear on the scene in Daniel 11? I believe in Daniel 11:16. In Daniel 11:15 it states that the king of the south will not have strength to withstand the king of the north. I understand the king of the north as being the Seleucid kingdom, at that time, and the kingdom of the south as being the Ptolemaic kingdom of Egypt –warring factions of the divided Grecian empire. History tells us that Egypt had a trade deal with Rome. Egypt was Rome’s bread basket. Rome began to dominate all of the other Grecian kingdoms and conquer them. The Ptolemaic kingdom (Egypt) was on peaceful terms with Rome and just as it says in Daniel 11:8 … “and he shall continue more years than the king of the north.” His kingdom remained longer than the Seleucid Kingdom of the north. Daniel 11:16 “But he that comes against him (King of the north) shall do according to his own will…” There are many things Rome fulfills there (Daniel 11:16-19) I believe. I don’t have time to get into them right now, but they are very interesting . The little horn shall rise up from both, the fourth kingdom (Rome), and mysteriously also, the third kingdom (Greece). Daniel 7:8 …”eyes of a man speaking great things.” Daniel 7:11 “voice of the great words which the horn spake .”
Daniel 7:20,21 “And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows. I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them;”
Daniel 7:25 “And he shall speak great words against the most High , and shall wear out the saints of the most High , and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.” He’s making war against us! We know he is a great conqueror, but he also conquers us, God’s people of the Endtime. It says this specifically. So the great words convince others against us, and also attack the people’s faith in God. But remember, we will possess earth’s New Kingdom; it’s only for the new citizens of the Kingdom of God. It clearly states also that it’s Jesus’ Kingdom.
Daniel 7:13,14 “I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like unto the Son of man (Jesus) came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before Him . And there was given him (Jesus) dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion that shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed .”
In Daniel 8 we are given more descriptions of this little horn that appears to come out of Egypt, being one of the four heads of the divided empire of Alexander the Great. One of the mysteries of Daniel’s prophecies is that the little horn comes out of one of the divided parts of Alexander’s kingdom. Well, Egypt had formed an alliance with Rome, until Cleopatra ( VII ) tried but failed in her efforts to usurp Rome’s empire, or something of that manner. Now the little horn doesn’t appear until the Endtime, but somehow there’s a connection. Now Alexander (Greece) soundly defeating the rich Medo-Persian Empire is very impressive. In Daniel 8 and again we are shown this in Daniel 11:2,3.
Daniel 11:2,3 And now will I shew thee the truth. Behold, there shall stand up yet three kings in Persia; and the fourth shall be far richer than they all: and by his strength through his riches he shall stir up all against the realm of Grecia.
And a mighty king shall stand up, that shall rule with great dominion, and do according to his will.
Verse 2 reminds me of what we have been seeing happening in our time, with America & the West against Russia. The West is trying to get everyone to stand up against Russia . And everything that speaks about the little horn appears to match up with Putin and Russia. Then Daniel 8:8-12, we have the little horn.
Daniel 8:11 “Yea he magnified himself even to the prince of host (Jesus), and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary (Jesus’) was cast down.” If I’m understanding correctly, isn’t it talking about Jesus’ sanctuary? Because that sounds different than this idea of a third temple in Jerusalem. This sounds to me like a direct reference to “Jesus worship.” No daily sacrifice of witnessing cause they can’t allow that. No giving of love offerings for those on the field laboring for the Lord. No public gatherings . No Holy Ghost samples. The real reasons for lockdowns? Control.
Daniel 8:12 “And a host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression ,…” Is it meant to shut down all religions? Or just the ones they don’t like or that don’t “comply? ” And how long is the vision for? 2,300 days. That’s for the daily sacrifice and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and host to be trodden underfoot . And Daniel 7:25 says that … “they shall be given into his hand (the little horn) until a time and times and the dividing of time .” I notice that it’s saying that of the little horn: 3 & 1/2 years . Revelations 13:5 …”and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.” So that’s a difference of 1040 days . More numbers. But we look at that number, 2,300 days first. Starting when the lockdowns began? Then afterwards the 3 & 1/2 years? (Within the span of the 2,300 days)
I didn’t see a rebuilt third temple (our body, a living sacrifice?) in Jerusalem , or a holy covenant (a secret one? or Jesus’ new covenant ?). Just saying. As far as the covenant, it’s mentioned once in Daniel 9:27 being confirmed for one week. I’m of the opinion that Daniel 11:22’s “the prince of the covenant” is Jesus. Is, “he shall confirm the covenant with many” in the first part of Daniel 9:27, referring to Jesus? It could be that this is Jesus confirming that there are just these last 7 years now. I could be wrong on both.
So I’ll go on to Daniel 8:23-25 “And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full …” A lot to unpack here . “he shall destroy the mighty and the holy people .” If we take the position that this means the Christian believing world, what about the Family? David’s mighty men? We’re fighting a spiritual war, not a physical one. You know that, of course. “With the keys you are invincible and can overcome any difficulty or obstacle that stands in your way.” Now some people look at these prophecies like we’re still living in the Old Testament –in a way. It’s how they understand it, and the connection they make to Israel, the altar, the sanctuary, the temple, and animal sacrifice. Even though the Jews’ temple was destroyed, it will get rebuilt again. It did before, and it got destroyed again too. They are assuming that there is this 220 days at the beginning of the 7-year covenant period when the temple will get rebuilt and we will all see clearly that we only have 7 years. But this is only an interpretation. Maybe the temple will be substituted with hooking you up with virtual reality.
But didn’t Jesus say, “Destroy this temple and in 3 days I will raise it up”? And in Revelations 21:22 “And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.” So the real temple is spiritual. It’s The Lord’s Spirit. The COD who are already beyond all that, God bless you; you all don’t need convincing. So anyone can go back and read all of this.
Daniel 8:25 says “And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand;” So this last part, we should know, gives us more insight into the nature of the beast, the little horn. We have been seeing for a while now, this open exhibition of rituals and the use of numerology; it gets tiring. I won’t get into it. I just pray that everyone is looking to encourage and strengthen their faith and the faith of their loved ones. I have been doing these posts with many TFI members in mind, hoping and praying that they will begin to realize that we are really close to some serious hard times.
Love, everyone
