It Is Written

It is always a choice

A Christian friend and I were discussing the mandatory vaccination now coming into effect in our country. During the course of the conversation, my friend said he believed that if a Christian were to take the vaccination, God would protect him. I thought about his statement for a while and was reminded of the conversation Jesus had with the Devil in the wilderness.

Matthew 4:5-7

When the devil took Jesus up into the holy city, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

Jesus said it is written again…thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

I would like to rephrase the conversation I had with my friend in context to the conversation Jesus had with the Devil.  “When the government says you are to take the vaccine…for it is written…you must obey them that have rule over you.”

What would your answer be?

Would you, as Jesus, base your answer on the Word of God…it is also written, thou shalt not defile the temple of the Holy Ghost, for my body is not my own it belongs to God not man.

There are dozens if not hundreds of verses about protection and supply in the Word of God, and God’s children have His permission to stand on those promises, and “according to our faith it will be done unto us”. If this being the absolute case, then why didn’t Jesus just jump off the pinnacle that day expecting God to save Him? Well, I believe Jesus was trying to show us that there are definite conditions attached to those rock-solid promises in His Word.

Okay, so the government isn’t asking me to jump off a pinnacle, but they are demanding that I take a vaccination in order to travel or hold a job. So I did a search in the Bible on government decrees on vaccinations and of course I couldn’t find where…it is written. But I did find a few scriptures on our body being the temple of the Holy Ghost and how we should not defile it.

Now you can believe what you want, but I don’t believe these vaccinations are about health. I believe this vaccination is about numbering people; it’s about registration. And according to my understanding, it is against God’s law, and therefore it is a type of defilement (1 Chronicles 21 and Revelation 13). Even so, if it is about health, then this vaccination is again a type of defilement.

“Faith in God’s promises is the way through the Red Sea of man’s impossibilities, with faith nothing is impossible.”

I had a sneaking suspicion that my friend was twisting the Word of God in order to bypass the issue. Many Christians are too familiar with God’s Word; they use it very loosely; another name for it is “taking scripture out of context.” 

However, even if we are faithless, He remains faithful to His Word. “It is written” is what Jesus quoted back to the Devil…soon after that, the Devil left him, no doubt off to find easier targets like the Scribes and Pharisees.

Jesus based His decisions on what was written, either in the written Word or what He heard His Father tell Him to do in His inner ear, which is called the living Word. Jesus was able to escape the Devil’s entrapment’s because He obeyed His Father’s Word implicitly. This is not the case for many Christians. They instead have been disobeying and twisting God’s Word for generations; to the point where it is simply a byword and of none effect –as they go on living and playing and enjoying the things of this world, which by the way, are owned by the devil.

The church has been playing with God’s Word for hundreds, if not thousands of years –and it would seem, getting away with it too. But there always comes a time of reckoning, in this life or the next “It is written” (Matthew 12:36) The accounting must come. I believe the world has entered the last few years of man’s waywardness, and the Devil has come down unto us to collect his due. I also believe the vaccination is part of the sifting. You may believe you can continue to dance to the Devil’s tune thinking that God is blind, but very soon you will come to the stark realization that there is no longer a fence to sit on, and you are standing on the wrong side of the dividing line.

No longer can you embark on your course of action saying that you believe God is going to protect you –when you are not even holding His written or spoken Word in your heart. If you do act so unwisely, you will find yourself “tempting the Lord your God”.
