IT REQUIRES A LOT OF FORSAKING AND TOTAL DEDICATION
Dear MB,
The podcast today (Audio) affected me deeply and made me seriously question how dedicated I am to Jesus as a disciple, so I asked Aquamarine how well am I meeting the requirements of being a disciple, and she told me where I am falling down, which I am not going to get into here, but then she gave me more on being a fully dedicated disciple which I thought would be good to send to you to use it if you want to.
Prophecy: The life of a disciple is hard. It requires a lot of forsaking and a lot of dedication. You have to be willing to lose your life and even expect to give your life for the cause. It is a very high calling which very few are willing to attain to. Many have wanted it but not badly enough. How much do you want the high calling? It’s not a part time thing. It requires your all. Those that dedicate their life to making money give it almost their all. They are consumed by their love for money. Are you consumed by your love for Jesus? Are you as dedicated to Jesus as they are to their god? I’m not talking about those that only work eight or ten hours day and then forget all about it. I’m talking about those that really get into making a lot of money and are willing to do almost anything to get it. That’s what the Devil requires from his disciples. How about you? Are you willing to do anything Jesus asks of you without getting offended like John the Baptist did? He thought that being beheaded was too much. How about you? How much do you want to be a real disciple? A blue angel is willing to give up more than just her head. Total commitment is a great thing. Look at Jesus’ example of total commitment.
The pull of the world is strong; the pull of the flesh is also strong, but the pull of the Word can be stronger if you let it pull you closer to Jesus. You determine which side wins. “He that saves his life will lose it”. He that tries to save his life by trying to jump back into the Devil’s selfish system will lose it. “He that loses his life will save it”. He that dedicates his life completely to Jesus no matter what, will come out way better in the end even if it looks like he is losing a whole lot right now. That’s what investment in the world is all about. The most dedicated systemites take a lot of their hard-earned money and invest it in something they hope will produce even more money. That takes a lot of faith in mammon and a lot of love for money. How is your faith and love doing? Are they great enough to invest in the Kingdom of God?
Love, John
