And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child; And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
red sea portal
Moses led the children of Israel out of Egypt, or system of his day, and into the wilderness. The key into that wilderness of so long ago was the Red Sea and once that portal was opened no one could enter but God’s children. Pharaoh tried and was swallowed up at the portal mouth.
We the modern day children of God depicted in Revelation 12:17… as the remnant will face many Red Sea events during the coming great tribulation. Unlike Moses and his people, we the remnant do not have an earthly wilderness to run to. And even if we did it would be nigh impossible to remain undetected because the beastly system has every means available to track and monitor anyone anywhere on the face of the earth today. That is except one. This wilderness is spoken of throughout the Bible; it is a place that requires a key and a door way or portal if you will and which only allows those of faith to enter.
Moses used it to find the Red Sea door; there was no need for him to turn and fight the Egyptian army because the power he used was not a power that struggles and fights against the Enemy’s power; it simply rises above, it lifts you above, into a special impenetrable protective field of God’s Spirit, into His Heavenly atmosphere.”
Wilderness travel
King David was very familiar with wilderness travel, he knew where to find the key of escape in time of trouble, and try as he did, Saul could not reach into that wilderness and pull David out. David said in Psalm 27:5&6: For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock. And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD.
Have you ever noticed how praising immediately changes the spirit of whatever is happening, wherever you are? Even when you’re out in public and you make a praiseful comment‚ it changes the atmosphere. Praise is contagious. The Enemy flees and people are propelled into a higher realm instantaneously. It’s wonderful! There’s nothing the Enemy can do about that. He can’t fight back, bring in reinforcements‚ or pull out a new weapon or tactic. All he can do is vainly struggle on while you have risen above and are out of reach of his attacks. So the power of rising above is much greater than conventional physical or spiritual warfare the Devil can hit you with‚ because it can’t be beat no matter what.
Although Moses and David’s flesh were in the world and part of the world they obviously possessed special power that enabled them and those with them to rise above the muddy river of life, to transcend the cares and problems that confronted them. God’s promises were like keys that gave them power to rise above the things that threatened to muddy their outlook on life.
Elijah was another man that possessed that same rise above power; he clearly held keys that allowed access to many doors to the heavenly kingdom.
revelation 12:14
Jesus said in Matthew 16:19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Now is the time for the power of the keys.
During their days of tribulation those men of old were able to rise above because they were empowered with the keys of the kingdom; likewise we in our turn must be empowered with the keys in order to escape into the wilderness of the spirit as is suggested we will do in Revelation 12:14 . When the tribulation of Matthew 24:21 arrives, which it surely will, when there will be nowhere to run or hide except up into the wilderness of the spirit; this rising above power will become indispensible. Even now God’s children are being confronted with an ever increasing myriad of impossible situations. Take heed we are being slowly and surely herded toward the Red Sea. Pharaoh with all his worldly wisdom and scientific gadgetry believes he has us corralled. You must keep this knowledge at the forefront of your mind when the Enemy attacks you. You have to know for a fact that if you do what Jesus shows you to do, if you use the spiritual weapons, if you go deeper into Him, into the wilderness, you will win. The Keys to the Kingdom will become our indispensable ally, to truly learn the art of rising above, you must be empowered with the keys.
