If It Doesn’t Budge And Stubbornly Plants Its Feet, Then You Just Have To Go Around It
Jesus Speaking In Prophecy:
You have to go around the carnal mind when it doesn’t want to budge and stubbornly plants its feet in the sand and snarls “No, no, no“ at you when you ask it to allow you to pass. At that point call on the Keys, they will be as an ocean wave that erodes the sand from under the feet of someone standing by the water’s edge.
You’ve experienced this picture that I am painting here. You stand on the seashore as the waves come in, as constant as only waves and sun and moon and stars can be. And as those waves wash around your ankles, wave by wave, the sand is dredged out from under your feet, and before long you begin to sink into the sand. Surely, if you stood there long enough, you would sink deeper and deeper until your feet disappeared under the sand.
Once Carnal is stuck in the sand, then just walk around him by faith. He will be like those two chained lions in Pilgrim’s Progress; he will snarl and snap and growl and yap, but he only makes that noise because he is trapped and cannot possibly move. If he weren’t chained or stuck in the sand, then he’d attack and eat you alive, or at least step back into your path.
Faith is a wonderful, magical phenomenon—you either have it or you don’t. The mistake most people make is that they think they have to work it up in the strength of their own arm. I can tell you with certainty: if you think you can push the carnal mind over in a head-down rush, you are mistaken. His head, you will discover, is solid concrete. You are the one who will be injured—and not only will your head be damaged, but your faith as well. And that is where many people turn and never confront the carnal mind again.
The Keys and My Word are one; they are the waves in the analogy. They are constant. They will come into shore as you call on them, but you must play your part. You must call them to come in; they will not come in on their own. They can, but that does not show Me that you have faith in them.
I have set the waves, the sun, the moon, and the stars in motion. The seasons come and go as if by magic; they are set. But the Keys of the Kingdom are given to you—they are in your hands. They are controlled by your will, as is My Word, subject to your will. They will do what they are designed to do, just as the natural elements I’ve set in place will perform My good pleasure; so will the Keys and My Word perform your good pleasure if you call on them in faith and according to My will.
The carnal mind lives in the material world; the material world is like the parable of the house built on the sand. You know the story so well, but today I want you to apply the parable to your carnal mind, so seemingly safe in its system house.
Each day, in their ever-constant ebb-and-flow way, the waves come and go, and each time they pass, a little more sand is eroded from under Carnal’s house. In time, a hurricane comes in from the ocean, and just as My parable describes, the house is buffeted and whipped by the wind until it collapses, and the debris is dragged out to sea.
The prayers that you are sending out, in their ever-constant ebb and flow, have been eroding Carnal’s happy home and also the system around his home in the suburbs, which is also built on the sand. Into the atmosphere your prayers flow, and over time they have created a low-pressure system that no house, or suburb, or city system could possibly withstand.
Only My children will be left standing once this storm subsides. Faith in Me and My Word is like standing on the Rock. That’s what the parable is saying—rock solid, immovable. The only stipulation is that the believer follows the sequence, follows the steps laid out in the Master Builder’s guidebook.
