You Have to Let the Word in Even Though You Have Fallen Down in Some Areas
Sonora (Warrior Band Counsellor) speaking: If you want to reach your goal, you cannot afford to drift along, simply going wherever your flesh and mind take you, because little by little, the time you spend away from the Word is taking its toll… Instead of the certainty you once had, doubts and questions are arising.
You feel weak and shaky, and you ask why everything has to be so hard. How can Jesus even expect you to hold on after all that’s happened? And that continual choice to ignore the truth and just slide down into the nonresistant state really reduces you to a useless spiritual weakling with nothing to offer this war. Yes, it’s a war of light against darkness, and Jesus has asked you to be one of those who fight in prayer against these enemies, who keep the real Blue Light inside, and who resist the fake blue light of 666. But yes, this fake light is ever clamoring and clutching at you from that dark portal, trying to drag you in, and this will, without a doubt, kill your faith.
The more you go there, the easier it is to do so, and the pull becomes almost impossible to resist. It might take a while, or it might work quickly, but your firm conviction will be eroded, and I guess we will have to wait and see what will be left of you. But you know from the Word, as much as you try to deny it and just say you can live in both worlds, that fake blue light will destroy that mirror Jesus is hoping will reflect His likeness.
The Light in you will turn to darkness, and the wick that was designed to carry His Fire will be corrupted. I know it can feel like it’s inevitable in this cold, lonely wilderness, but what Jesus really wants from you is to not accept it and live with it, not trying, but just sinking down into it… He wants you to remember to stir yourself even though you do fall into it. He doesn’t want you to settle there, but to refuse to just be beaten down to the point where you aren’t even moving any more.
When that happens, you are only going downhill, and it’s only a matter of time. You have to come and let Him speak to you even though you might be doing things He asked you not to, because if you don’t, you will lack the strength to ever throw it off. You have to let the Word in even though you might be falling down in some areas. You have to keep struggling, because that is what will keep you alive.
The acceptance of defeat is what will destroy you, but the refusal to give up this part of yourself to the enemy is what will keep you getting up again and again. Jesus wants your spirit to be strong to face this life, but He understands your frame and knows that you might falter and fail because the battle is so long. But the only way you are going to be able to survive this life and all it brings is by refusing to let go of your connection to Jesus. That means stirring yourself up, challenging yourself, and making yourself uncomfortable if that’s what it comes to.
That is what it means to follow Jesus in this world. You can’t just be like the Church Christians who think they can serve both Mammon and God, thinking they can serve Him in a nice, comfortable way, even though His Bible clearly states, “Be ye separate.” It’s because they thought they could easily do both that their faith died and their light dimmed to the point of being almost useless… They didn’t realize that they were trading in His voice and guidance, His Word and Beauty, for a mess of pottage… They wanted to be comfortable and at ease in this world so much so that they forgot their real Home… and that is what will happen to you if you let yourself slide into the mindset that you can’t do this any more and you have to give in to the barrage because it’s too tough.
But no, you have to fight it and wrestle against it. You have to choose to keep that longing for your true Home alive, even when you wanted to go Home on April 4th and it didn’t turn out. You are sad, but you can’t let the desire die, for that is what defines you as not of this evil world. Your eyes look upward (Audio) while everyone else’s eyes are glued to the earth and what pleasures they can possibly get out of it. You have to refuse to conform to that way of thinking… of trying to numb the pain of life through as many distractions as possible. Rise above it and choose to believe, even though it hurts to do so and to be so soft and vulnerable in His hands.
And the one and only way you are even going to be able to stand is by following His lead and hearing His voice as much as you can. And maybe when the day comes when you need to hear from Jesus about where your life should go or what you should do, you will be ready to teamwork with Him and sincerely ask what His plan is. But if you didn’t build your faith and your connection, the faith in you will turn bitter, and your warm heart, where Jesus and you once communed, will be cold, and you will walk away alone, leaving behind all the nurture He gave you. And little by little, the world will change you into someone you never wanted to be, and the faith you once had will be replaced by the enemy’s fears and addictions to the things of this world.
Do you really want to experience this life without Him? Do you really want to let that Connection and the Magic of His Word and the beauty of the Spirit World slip through your fingers just because you don’t understand what He’s doing? Or are you going to do as the good men before you and say, “You are God and I am not, and I have to trust You (Audio) that You know what You are doing.”
Though you feel sad and lost at times, He is still at the helm, and He hasn’t walked away from everything you built together. He wants you to see how He can be better than all the world has to offer, a better rest and surcease from the spiritual battles… He doesn’t want you to forget the love and the peace that has been yours at His hand, and that even though some days He seems to have disappeared from you and failed you beyond what you can handle, He is still working, and He isn’t finished yet.
The dawn is still coming, even though it’s so dark now… He has a plan, and He won’t leave you alone without hope and a purpose if you come to Him. Trust Him in the darkness, and when the Light comes, you will be so happy that you did.
