Jesus and roman soldiers just before His crucifixion

He Who Hath Begun A Good Work In Us Is Going To Perfect It Unto The End! For He Is The Author And Finisher Of Our Faith

Well, today is the 6th of April, and Jesus hasn’t raptured us—yet. Very sad, and quite difficult to admit that we were mistaken… or were we? Now, I’m not about to reason my way out of this obvious knock-out, but I am most certainly going to find out why, when we were following Jesus so closely, He allowed this haymaker from left field to lay us low.

What does a fighter do when he’s knocked to the floor? He gets up again and keeps fighting, because all the time he’s lying flat on his back, the referee is counting. Then, when the referee reaches ten, if the fighter is not off the floor and on his feet again, he’s disqualified. So what’s the best way to get up off the floor? Call out to the Keys, then get straight into the Word.

If the Word that we are following got us into this predicament, then the Word is going to get us out. Here’s a quote from one of my favorites…

MO Letters “For God’s Sake Follow God”—1. IT JUST THRILLS US TO SEE HOW IT’S GOD WHO IS DOING ALL THIS!–No one in particular, no personality cult, no individual who has to be there, but the Lord and by the power of His Holy Spirit! So it’s thrilling to us how the Lord is working and that God has started this, God is keeping it going, and He is going to conclude it in His time.

2. HE WHO HATH BEGUN A GOOD WORK IN US IS GOING TO PERFECT IT UNTO THE END! For He is the Author and the Finisher of our faith, who hath delivered, who doth deliver, and who will yet deliver! Praise the Lord! Amen. In spite of the problems and questions, the Lord is in it and I know God is working.

What happened next made me laugh at Jesus’ sense of humor. For some reason, I glanced at the date this MO Letter was published—it was the 22nd of October. I may have been thinking I was done with numbers, but Jesus clearly showed me that He wasn’t.

Now I’m going to give you another number chuckle. Just now, I looked again at the introductory line on that MO Letter—October 22, 1970, No. 4 DFO. If you add all those numbers up in the usual manner, you get 26—1+0+2+2+1+9+7+0+4 = 26.

I’m reminded of the story of Shadrach and his two friends. Ultimately, Jesus was the one who had them thrown into the fire—they were simply following His Word. And that is what we have been doing and must continue to do, even in the midst of this fire.

The second amazing little sign that showed us that Jesus was walking with us in this fire happened on the heels of the 22nd of October sign, almost within the hour. Now, just in case you are not sure what the 22nd of October signifies: it is the date that you land on when you subtract 1,260 days from the 4th of April. It was the date that we posted the podcast “Book Burning.”

The Purple Robe

So the next sign that came along happened on the road to Emmaus, so to speak. We have a small flock of sheep; they really are more like a symbol than anything. Sheep rearing isn’t a commercial venture for us or a source of food, as we eat one only on occasion. Our small flock, as I said, are a symbol—sheep, shepherd, King David, Snowflake, Jesus the Good Shepherd, etc. But what I like the most is that they have to be taken out to pasture, so the boys take turns, morning and evening, to take them out. Caring for animals can teach a person a lot.

Anyway, one of our boys came into my office right around the time that Jesus had shown me the October 22 date, and he had a page from a Bible comic book in his hand. He excitedly began narrating what had just happened to him. He was bringing the sheep home along the dusty farm road that runs past the front of our property, and he saw on the road what was once a Bible in pictures.

Now, our property is out of town. The dirt road is basically an unmaintained track that leads from town to the surrounding farmlands. Most of the day it’s empty, but in the mornings and evenings, that’s when the farmers come and go along the road.

Anyway, my son was holding the page from the book in his hand, and as he handed it to me, he said, “I found this on the road. It’s from a Bible-in-pictures book, but there were only two pages—the rest of the book was gone.”

On the page in my hand, there was a depiction of Jesus standing between some mocking Roman soldiers. It wasn’t hard to see what my son’s point was—the picture on this particular page was the largest; emphasis was the important issue. Jesus was standing there with the crown of thorns on His head, and draped over His shoulders was a robe. It wasn’t a small robe, but it almost covered Him, and the robe was of the brightest Purple I think I’ve ever seen—it was almost glaring.

And, of course, seeing the picture had the effect that Jesus wanted it to have—my mind instantly shot backwards to our podcast, “The Purple Key.”

“And their eyes were opened, and they knew Him; and He vanished out of their sight. And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while He talked with us by the way, and while He opened to us the scriptures?” (Luke 24:31–32)

Okay, now I’m going to backtrack to the morning of this same day.

So yesterday morning, our little home gathered together in a small forest near the house for a meeting. Our chairs were arranged in a small, tight circle that resembled a round table, and I mentioned that it was like a scene you might see of one of the many secret meetings the early church held during the times of Roman persecution.

The reason I called the meeting is because I wanted to see what Jesus had to say to us. I began with a prayer, said my piece, shared a few lessons, then passed the recorder around—and a very beautiful thing happened. In spite of the knock-out they received the day before, each one of our young people recommitted themselves to following Jesus one hundred percent.

It was a very touching moment for us all. I can’t possibly express how special it was—it was one of those moments that was just for us, but no doubt is recorded by our Heavenly escorts and will be revealed one day in that little MB building somewhere in the city. But instead of some words on a page, the recording will come with all the emotions, thoughts, and feelings each one of us experienced as we recommitted our stand of faith to Jesus, the Word.

Obviously, there is more to this event than April 4th. April 4th was confirmed by the most precise mathematical equation I’d ever seen. It was confirmed by no less than three other precise mathematical equations. And yesterday, it was confirmed from the heading in “For God’s Sake Follow God” (not to mention the Purple robe).

April 4th isn’t about whether Jesus was going to come back on that day or not. He is God’s Son; He can come back anytime He wishes. Yes, I felt deceived, and yes, I felt like a bearer of false fables. But you see, the Word of God is saying something very different from what my carnal mind is telling me.

Beloved, we haven’t seen the end of this yet—God has not yet finished His work in us. He isn’t looking at the circumstance as we do; He is looking for brides who trust Him no matter what the circumstances say. He is looking for brides who look wholly and solely to His Word.

I dug up this excerpt that we read just the other day. It says all that I think Jesus wants us to understand about April 4th:

“I stand without, but just until the right moment… waiting as I did in the early mornings on earth… waiting for when My Father speaks and tells Me, ‘Yes, this is the one. This one does not look for gold or fame; this one seeks only My Pearl, My beloved Son, the heart of My heart… Yes, this is the one.’

“Draw on My promises. Your hope, My love, is to be in My unfailing Word. You must rely on nothing else but My unfailing Keys. Close your eyes, My dearest love, I am with you here, just as I promised I would be. Stand your ground; plant your feet firmly on the Keys of the Kingdom.”

Later that afternoon while talking to one of the young people I received a picture in my mind of the MB song “In the Heart of the Cave (Audio)”, I remember thinking, if you want to see the beautiful gem lessons embedded in the cave wall you have to lift up your eyes, which means you have to get your eyes off of the circumstances and on the keys.

As those that are in email contact with us will know, Jesus gave us a small note, a whisper to encourage us that He was going to keep His Word, but for some higher purpose wanted to use this situation as His way to draw us even closer to His heart. And that really is what 4th of April is all about—us being the right brides. The note came in the guise of three beautiful verses that my wife passed onto one of our young people to help encourage them in this difficult battle. Here they are.

Lisa: “My beloved spoke and said to me, “Arise, my darling, my beautiful one, come with me.”

–Song of Solomon 2:10 “Come away, my beloved, and be like a gazelle or like a young stag on the spice-laden mountains.”

–Song of Solomon 8:14

Mark 6:31, “Come away with me. Let us go alone to a quiet place and rest for a while.”

Now you may think we’d had enough of numbers to last us a lifetime but no, it was numbers that got us into this seeming predicament and no doubt when applied in the right context and just when Jesus wants them inserted they will be the little signs of encouragement that will keep us on the straight and narrow way. The young person that received the verses wrote back soon after receiving the verse gift and said: “The verse references you just shared, when added together in sequence come to 26: 2+1+0+8+1+4+6+3+1 = 26”

Prophecy: April 4th recedes into history; the day of the expected betrothal has passed. What went wrong? Trying to place the blame is the easiest path to take, and many will take that way. Your history as Children of David proves that point. But what of My purpose in allowing this breaking? To find the gem you must go much deeper; you must go below the surface where the tumultuous winds that unsettle your mind and heart can’t reach. As I have said, this is not a new experience. You have been here before, as has many others of My children. All that pass this test come to a conclusion, even if it is simply to place this whole “horrid affair” on the shelf of faith. In the Words of David I have often used your brother Job as an example of what to do when coming to places of seeming great darkness. Here are some of his thoughts on the matter, they are very similar to your own, and it is My desire that you come out of this desert place as he did. I continually sift My children that they may come forth as gold. The reality is, this process never ends; you will forever walk this road of learning and growing. So let’s take it one step at a time, and enjoy the sights along the way, and learn to love these bumps on the road.

JOB 23:2-17 Even today is my complaint bitter: my stroke is heavier than my groaning. :3 Oh that I knew where I might find him! that I might come even to his seat! :4 I would order my cause before him, and fill my mouth with arguments. :5 I would know the words which he would answer me, and understand what he would say unto me. :6 Will he plead against me with his great power? No; but he would put strength in me. :7 There the righteous might dispute with him; so should I be delivered forever from my judge. :8 Behold, I go forward, but he is not there; and backward, but I cannot perceive him:9 On the left hand, where he doth work, but I cannot behold him: he hideth himself on the right hand, that I cannot see him:10 But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold. :11 My foot hath held his steps, his way have I kept, and not declined. :12 Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food. :13 But he is in one mind, and who can turn him? and what his soul desireth, even that he doeth. :14 For he performeth the thing that is appointed for me: and many such things are with him. :15 Therefore am I troubled at his presence: when I consider, I am afraid of him. :16 For God maketh my heart soft, and the Almighty troubleth me:17 Because I was not cut off before the darkness, neither hath he covered the darkness from my face.

Prophecy: My dearest loves. This is the way, walk ye in it. You may think you have been stumbling along, groping in the darkness and now find yourself in a pit of your own doing. But those thoughts are your carnal mind condemning you. What you hear in the darkness of your mind is what your enemy would want you to hear. Let Me open the windows of your mind to let the fresh air blow the stuffiness from this room. Let Me pull back the curtains that the light may flood in and chase away the Devil and his evil, disparaging, destructive thoughts.

Distinction Between Professing and Possessing Disciples

“It will surely come.”

‘Tarry’ is consistently tied to expectancy and the moral choices forged in the crucible of time. It involves a period of waiting that reveals hearts and tests faithfulness:

Luke 18:7,8 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? …

Jesus wishes that none should perish. You cannot fathom the depths of His love and how longsuffering He really is. Your tiny brain and small heart does not contain the unimaginable love and desire He has that as many as possible should not perish, should not pass through the fires of the great purging. You yourself, are repelled and repulsed at the sins of the ‘Ninevites’ and vehemently reject any thought of delaying for their sake as they don’t deserve it. Yes, He does hear your cries of, ‘How long O Lord, how long?’ But as Moses said in his wilderness, “For a thousand years in Your sight are like yesterday when it passes by, or as a watch in the night.”

A watch came and was gone, and we are yet waiting. You felt forsaken in your hour of need, but He passed you through the fire in the crucible. You were appalled that He should sleep while the tempest of your heart raged all around you. But even though He was sleeping, His heart was awake. He was there with you, despite His delay in calming the storm.

He walks on the water toward you—in your turmoil and confusion, your disappointment—with outstretched hands, beckoning you to look straight into His eyes and there find surcease. Why did He take so long to come, when your boat, and all of you in it, nearly perished?

In His infinite wisdom, He took you to another level. He settled you, He established you. He took you beyond your years, beyond time and space, conveying depths of spiritual understanding. He led you beyond the purple mist, past the library, and imbued you with unearthly enlightenment—divine insight.

The peace that passes understanding was offered to you, that you might perceive His higher intent… purer gold, the willingness of utter transparency.

Would you endure the mocking of your senses, as I did, and remain meek and quiet before Him? Will you come before Him in all humility and surrender to whatever way He chooses for you? Will you submit, and not be offended at being thrown down into the pit, so that He may exalt you in His time?

Would you accept?

As you sat under the trees, you were surrounded by a great host, waiting to hear your choices; for they watch and learn, and are amazed at your thoughts and the intents of your heart. You became like strong men armed at that time, and the host were elated at your choices.

Your Bridegroom is ecstatic with joy! His anticipation can hardly be contained. The procession will very soon reach your house, and you will hear the shout, “Behold, the bridegroom comes; go out to meet him!” …and you will be whisked away to your Father’s house.

It is nigh, dear ones, as promised. (End of prophecy)

The bridegroom’s delay is deliberate, creating a real-time arena for faith to mature.

Key Aspects of the Bridegroom’s Delayed Procession (Nissuin):

The Delay:

After the initial betrothal (Erusin or Kiddushin), the groom would return to his father’s house to prepare a home for the couple, a process that typically lasted around 12 months. Delays were common, as the groom had to wait for his own father to determine that the preparation was complete, creating an element of surprise regarding the exact timing.

The Procession:

The groom, accompanied by his friends, would travel to the bride’s home, frequently at night. This procession was marked by fanfare, torches, and sometimes the blowing of a shofar (trumpet).

The Shout:

Because the arrival was often unexpected, it was customary for a shout to precede the groom: “Behold, the bridegroom comes: go out to meet him!”.

The Fetching:

The bride would be prepared, waiting in constant expectancy. She would then join the procession with her bridesmaids, carrying oil lamps, and be escorted to the groom’s home (or a Chuppah—a bridal canopy) for the final ceremony and the marriage supper.

Consummation and Celebration:

Once at the home, the couple would enter the Chuppah (wedding chamber), where they would stay in seclusion for seven days, while guests celebrated outside. (end of internet excerpt)

Excerpts from the Blog:

Oct 1, 2025

I Will Thin the Veil and You Will See

Prophecy continues, Jesus speaking: Thomas received the reward that he desired; but My loves, I have a reward for you who follow My Word without seeing through your physical eyes. Your reward is My hand in marriage, not just to look at or to touch as Thomas did, but to take into and hold in your hand as My eternal bride. You are blessed beyond all the people of this earth to hear these whispers from just beyond the door of the spirit; that is all that separates us now, just a thin veil between My whispered promise and reality. The Pearl goes to those with the purest of faith, those that believe without seeing, those that hear and listen to My whispering promises of things to come. To those that come into the heart of My cave and take My hand, do I whisper My gems. It is these ones who see them ignite and understand. Listen My hearts…listen…shhhhh, listen and you will hear the walls whispering hum. I stand without, but just until the right moment…waiting as I did in the early mornings on earth…waiting for when My Father speaksand tells Me, “Yes, this is the one. This one does not look for gold or fame; this one seeks only My Pearl, My beloved Son, the heart of My heart… Yes, this is the one.”

“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in Me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me. If ye had known Me, ye should have known My Father also: and from henceforth ye know Him, and have seen him. Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. Jesus saith unto him, have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known Me, Philip? He that hath seen Me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, shew us the Father? Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.” John 14:1-10

Prophecy continues, Jesus speaking: I speak of the spirit, the vein of treasure that leads to My heart where the gems ignite. Those that see Me must see Me in My Word, for it is the spirit that quickeneth, the flesh profits nothing. I put My Word above all things, for the Word is the Spirit of My Father and Our Father is above all things on earth and in Heaven. I will come; do not fear. I will come as I promised My first disciples and as I have promised all My children since the beginning of time. Now as I stand just outside the door and whisper to you of My coming…listen My love, the moment of My coming must be perfect, just as your faith must be perfect. Do not waver, My hearts, My loves, do not flicker in the winds there on the other side of the veil. My servants move closer in when My little candle flame flickers in the winds of the worldliness that blow in through cave entrance. Move away, move deeper, climb higher. Fly with Me in spirit and at the exact moment, when I hear My Heart speak, I will gather you into My arms and away.

If ye love Me, keep My commandments; and I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that She may abide with you forever; even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth Her not, neither knoweth Her: but ye know Her; for She dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. Yet a little while, and the world seeth Me no more; but ye see Me: because I live, ye shall live also. John 14:15-19

Prophecy continues, Jesus speaking: Again I say to you, fear not, for all that I have promised will come to pass. Just as I left this earth, so will I return. Hold to My promises. I thin the veil that the eyes of your spirit may see. Open them wider by closing them to the world around you. Go deep within the cave of our heart, for I live within you. I am your eternal Lover, and it is in going deeper that you see what I see. The world is blind. They cannot see because they do not know Me, and therefore they do not know My Father, but you know Me, for you have found Me in our cave. Just a little longer, just a breath away, just through the veil I wait, when all My Father’s Words are fulfilled, then will I come for you. To know Me is to be known by Me, My Word must dwell in you. My Keys are My Words, and they must be a part of your spiritual being. To know Me is to know the Father.

Prophecy: My door is open to all those that would come, but the handle is deliberately set high and that is because this is about your inheritance. For those that would have Me alone, then I say come, for those that would have it another way, then there is a place for them. Don’t say I am exclusive in the way the world uses the word, or the way the old guard used that word, for they made it sound dirty in the ears of others. Is there not a wall around the City of Light? Do you call that exclusive, cliquish, elitist? There are levels within the City itself. Do you think that I give those closest to Me the lower levels or the higher levels? Those that forsake My ways, those that are accountable yet turn from Me –do they get to sit with Me on thrones? I choose you, but if you do not choose My requirements but say, “Nay, please have Me excused, for I have married and ask to be excused.” or “I have just bought oxen and must prove them.” Do I say to these, “Nay, you must not do these things”? The path to discipleship is set by My Father, the dowry, and all those that would fain reach for My hand must pass through the queenly tests and trials. Do those that sit for an exam tell the examiner how the test will be? Or do they sit in faith and answer the questions that are set on the exam paper? I set the standard that day the rich man asked Me what more he must do to obtain eternal life. Was it because I rejected him that he went away sorrowful? Did I shut the door on him? No, My door remains open to him even up until today. You are children of David, and you have been nurtured from a very young age to sit where you now sit. I have not withheld My heart from you. I have told you what My will is for this day. If you believe, then follow. If you do not, well, I do not shun or exclude you. My door is always open. I entice with My Words. If you hear, then follow. If My Words sound different to you or give another tune, then follow that tune. I love all My brides, and I take each bride right where they are at. (Flesh and Blood Sermon)
