Watch and Pray; Listen and Receive -Part Two-

PROPHECY, DAVID SPEAKING

    Please stop, look to Me, and listen. Claim the keys to make this your modus operandi in everything you do, and your spiritual life will know no boundaries and your joy will be full.

“As you enter this new era, it’s no longer just a good idea to hear from Jesus before you make a move; you simply cannot afford not to hear from God before you make a move! You’ve now got to broaden your horizons when you hear “watch and pray,” because when Jesus instructs you to watch and pray, He means you’ve got to watch, to look to Him, and to pray. But He doesn’t expect you to pray a one-way prayer. He means you are to not only speak your peace, but He also wants you to listen to Him in prayer, to hear His voice and receive His encouragement, counsel, instruction and guidance in prophecy. This is watching and praying! When Jesus says “watch and pray” to you, His avant-garde Endtime army, He means you are to watch, pray, listen and receive! This is His message to you for the rest of the way home.

I’ve told you about the bright future you have ahead of you, about the glorious days of the future that are dawning and how brightly you’re going to shine for Jesus. So let me ask you, how do you think this will all be possible? The only way you will shine so brightly, the only way Jesus will be able to work miracles through you, is if you watch and pray, listen to Him and receive His instruction through His voice of prophecy!

Moses had to watch, to pray, and to hear from the Lord in prophecy for every move he made. It was then, and only then, that Jesus was able to speak to him so clearly and give him downright, outright revelations, so that he could defy Pharaoh and all his wise men. That’s the only way he could lead the children of Israel out of Egypt–by doing a lot of watching and a lot of praying and hearing from the Lord! And as he heard from God and got his direction from God, that’s when the Lord caused his face to shine.

Gideon had to hear from Jesus to get his battle plans. It was then and only then that he received his directions on how to successfully fight the war.

It was as Daniel bowed his head in earnest prayer that Jesus was able to reveal to him the king’s dream so that he won his favor. It was as Daniel continued to watch and to pray and to listen to Jesus that he received the power and peace and strength of Heaven not just to enter the lions’ den, but to come out of the lions’ den unharmed. Daniel didn’t have to have so much strength to enter that lions’ den; he was going to go in there whether he liked it or not! But he had to have strength and power to get out of that lions’ den unharmed. He had to have a mighty miracle to make it out of that den alive, and the way he got it was by watching and praying, by hearing from the Lord and receiving His power from on high!

It was his “watching,” his looking to the Lord while he was in that den, that saw Daniel through the night and brought him out of there alive. He had to both watch and pray and listen. He had to watch, to look to the Lord. He had to pray, to talk to the Lord. Then as he listened to the Lord and heard His voice in prophecy, this boosted Daniel’s faith and the Lord saw him through it. The Lord clearly spoke to Daniel with personal words of comfort and encouragement while he was in that den. This is what helped him to hang on and not give up hope that those lions were not all of a sudden going to decide it was time to eat! Daniel was receiving the Lord’s pure words in prophecy, and this helped him to keep trusting and gave him peace, knowing that the Lord would keep those lions’ mouths shut all night long. This brought calm to Daniel and boosted his faith. The Jesus walked Daniel right through that battle by speaking directly to him with a message of comfort and encouragement, and he came out alive and kicking and ready to fight another day!” (Dad) (New Era of Greater Works)
