I was reading a prophecy today called “New Blood”, (from Art of War 5). It was beautifully flowing, deeply spiritual and very feeding. Then the thought came to me: “Where are these prophets today?” We try our best to get prophecy and, yes, some are good, but we stumble along in our own little way; whereas the Family has pages and pages, and yet more pages, of wonderful, feeding New/Old wine that fed thousands of David’s children.
So whist I was deliberating on these long-gone prophets, 1 Corinthians 13 came to mind, and this is what my dear spirit helper whispered to me as she gave me a completely different understanding of it.
1 Corinthians 13:1 “Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not love, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.”
1 Corinthians 13:2 “And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not love, I am nothing.”
Now all this time I’ve been thinking, love –yes, love for your brethren, trying to be a loving person etc. But I’ve had the wrong concept, really. I wasn’t seeing that these verses are talking about loving Jesus. Now you may have realized that a long time ago, but it just came to me now as a revelation, that without loving Jesus intimately, none of this, what I’m reading here, works. I know those Family prophets loved Jesus, but it would seem not enough, because if they did, wouldn’t they be here with us today?? This has to go beyond being a loving person or a great prophet. It has to go deeper, much deeper.
Young person comments: All the Family members back then and their kids were so talented. They had so much talent. I always remember one thing when I went to Indonesia. People would always ask me, “What happened to you? All the Family kids were so talented; they all had some amazing talent, like art, or singing or music –something. So I come along and I have nothing; I can’t do any of those things. So they would say, “Why are you so… talent-less?” They actually said that to me. But in the back of my mind I was thinking, “Well, what happened to them? Where are they now in 2020? Where are they with all their talents and good looks and skills and everything? Where are they? –Off using those skills and talents in the system. What good is that?” (end of comment)
So when it comes down to it, it is about the love of Jesus and how much you love Jesus. Because how can a human love another human properly? Our love is usually self-centered somehow; isn’t it!? So you see, it isn’t about being this… oh-so-loving person, because that love actually comes from God, that actually comes from loving Jesus. So if you are not loving Jesus, then all your love is fake. And your prophecies become fake and everything becomes fake, your sacrifices become fake.
1 Corinthians 13:3 “And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, (CTP) and though I give my body to be burned, and have not love, (a deep love for Jesus that is more than anything) it profiteth me nothing.”
1 Corinthians 13:4 “Love suffereth long, (how can we suffer long, we complain about the food when it isn’t according to our taste) and is kind; (this is talking about Jesus. Jesus suffereth long, Jesus envieth not, Jesus vaunteth not Himself, Jesus is not puffed up, Jesus does not behave Himself unseemly) seeketh not His own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;”
So what’s the secret; what’s the Key? It’s simple…love Jesus. Just forget about everything else and concentrate on the Guy! Use the Key and open the door to His heart. Ask for full possession; ask for mind melding; forget about yourself! Disappear, be a blue angel, be the blue sky. Just disappear, and all these things will not be you, they will be Jesus pouring through you. So yes, this gift of loving Jesus intimately is the ultimate gift. You want all these other gifts –you want prophecy, you want sacrificial love, you want to feed the poor, and you want wisdom. Do you want all the different things it is saying that you can have here? Forget it, you are chasing the wrong things. You are chasing a rainbow…just chase Jesus. Fall in love with Jesus; that is what this chapter is about.
That is what my dearest spirit helper whispered in my ear today, and it completely changed this chapter for me. Now I understand it; now I don’t have to work it up in the flesh. All I have to do is love up Jesus and let Him be all these things. So read it and apply the Jesus factor. This chapter will come to life, and all the wonderful things it says in there will begin to happen in your life.
“Now “see” this last verse. This is the Key. This is what this chapter and my spirit helper are saying. This is what I’ve taken two pages to say: 1 Corinthians 13:10 “But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.” He is the perfect, and we are the part.”
